5 Steps To Generate Low Cost Website Traffic

5 Steps To Generate Low Cost Website Traffic
Copyright 2006 Joshua Spaulding

Ever wonder how big sites get their traffic? Most of them
are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their
sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and
different forms of marketing schemes and gimmicks. This is
all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are, high
earning, big hitting websites.

You don't have to do this if you don't really have these
types of resources. There are many ways to generate low
cost website traffic without having to spend what you don't
have or can't afford. Many people have banked on high cost
methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it.

Here I present to you the Top five ways to generate low
cost website traffic that could help your site a whole lot.
Even if you only get a small percentage of successful
visitors into client ratio it still works especially if you
get a high number of website traffic.

Exchange Links

This is a sure and proven method. Rarely would you see a
site where there is no link to another site. Many
webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another
so that they could produce more public awareness about
their sites. You'll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of
the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.

A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites
is having the same niche or content as the other site. They
should share a common subject so that there is continuity
in the providing of service and information to what
interests your target traffic.

Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high
ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge
that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and
outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position
in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in
your website without the high costs.

Traffic Exchange

This is like exchanging links but on a different higher
level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading
links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn
credits. You can use those credits when viewing others
traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.

Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another's site
or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your
sites contents and so can you to his or her site. You both
benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The
other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more
about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public
awareness of your sites existence is boosted.

Write and Submit Articles

There are many e-zines and online encyclopedias in the
internet which provides free space for articles to be
submitted. If you want to save costs, you can do the
articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are
willing to write for you for a small fee, but to save
money, it is wise to do those articles yourself.

Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your
site. Write something that you have expertise on so that
when they read it, they can feel your knowledge about the
subject and will be eager to go to your site. Write
articles that produce tips and guidelines to the subject or
niche your site has.

Include a resource box at the end of your article that can
link them to your site. Write a little about yourself and
your site. If you provide a light, information-laden and
interesting article, they will go to your site for more.

Make a Newsletter.

This may sound like hard work because of all the articles
you may need to use to build a newsletter but on the
contrary, this is not so. There are many writers and sites
that are willing to provide free articles as long as they
can get their name in on your newsletter. This will also
provide free advertising for them as well.

As your newsletter gets pass around, you can widen your
public awareness and build an opt-in list that can
regularly visit your site.

Join Online Communities and Forums

This only requires your time and nothing else. You can
share your knowledge and expertise with many online
communities as well as your website. You can get free
advertising when you go to forums that have the same
subject or niche with your site.

Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you
are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you
also build the reputation of your site, making it a
reputable and honest business that could be frequented and
trusted by many people.

Blogging Is the Perfect Internet Business

Blog Entrepreneur: Blogging Is the Perfect Internet Business
Copyright 2006 Angela Booth

If someone were to tell you that you could create a global
business, completely for free, with nothing more than the
tools you already have, and the investment of your time,
you'd question their sanity.

Nevertheless, it's true. If blogging appeals to you, you
can create a viable Internet business within a few months:
for free.

Blogging is a new development in online businesses.
Essentially, it's instant publishing. Because
entrepreneurial blogging is so new, you have a great
opportunity to build your business before others copy what
you're doing, so get started now, and start building your
own online empire.

Let's look at five business models for your new Internet
blogging business. These five models can be combined if you
wish - there are no rules in blogging. You can change the
business model of a blog at any time, to a model which
generates more income.

Each of these models has the potential to earn you a
six-figure income. They are:

. Affiliate blog(s)

. Web publisher blog(s)

. Sales blog(s)

. Service blog(s)

. Blog network(s)

Let's look at these models one by one.

Affiliate blog(s)

Many businesses develop affiliate programs, because they
can recruit a sales force of thousands of people, with
little expense. The appeal of affiliate programs for
affiliate marketers is that you don't need a product or
service - you can start selling others' products, on
commission.

If you intend creating an affiliate blog, select the
products that you'll be selling before you create the blog.
This is because you want to be sure that there is a wide
range of products that you can promote. There's nothing
worse than developing a blog, and finding out that the well
is dry: you've picked a niche where products rarely change,
and in which the products are so standardized that there's
nothing new to write or podcast about.

Web publisher blog(s)

In this model, your blog is the online equivalent of a
magazine. Just as a magazine has features and advertising,
so does your blog. In this business model, your content is
vital, because you're counting on your content to attract
advertisers.

If you choose to develop a Web publisher blog, you've got
great models - the thousands of magazines which are
published each year. Check out a couple of your favorite
magazines. Usually a monthly magazine will have a theme for
each monthly issue, with two or more stories devoted to
this theme. The magazine publishes its editorial calendar a
year in advance, so that advertisers can line up their
advertising for a specific issue.

Sales blog(s)

In the sales model, you devote a blog to a single product,
or range of products. When offline companies start blogs,
their blogs are sales blogs - they're using their blogs to
sell their products. If you have products that you want to
sell, a sales blog is an excellent business model. You
could sell a product that you've created - an ebook, a DVD,
or art work - or products that you buy from others, and
resell.

If you're already running a business, you could start an
entrepreneurial blog to act as the marketing arm of the
business.

On the other hand, if you don't have a business, look into
having products created for you, or buy products which you
can resell on your blog. Look in your local Yellow Pages
for manufacturing companies: you may be able to find
products that you could resell at a profit. Of course,
there are many wholesaling companies online, but the
benefit of dealing with a local supplier is that you can
inspect the products that you're selling, to ensure
quality. Your shipping costs will also be low, resulting in
more profit for you.

Service blog(s)

While the sales blog sells products, the service blog sells
services. If you have a service that you sell, then you
could create a blog to generate customers for your
services. Or, you could sell the services of other people,
via a blog.

If you're selling a service, you know that it's hard to
differentiate yourself from the thousands of others who are
selling the same service. A blog is a way to do that. If
you're a dance coach, for example, you've got plenty to
write about. You'll attract lots of new business, and you
can bring in additional income when you solicit your
equipment suppliers to advertise on your blog.

Blog network(s)

Blog networks are groups of Web publisher blogs formed into
a network. There can be half a dozen, or hundreds,
depending on the ambitions and interests of the owner of
the network. Blog networks usually derive their income from
advertising.

If you want to develop a blog network, your aims will be
to: develop a mission for the network, as well as a clear
idea of where and how you'll add blogs to the network, and
where and how the revenue stream will be built.

So, there you have it. Five different business models for
your blog-based Internet business. Now all you need to
build your new Internet business is enthusiasm,
inspiration, and time.

Making Extra Money Online

Making Extra Money Online
Copyright 2006 Raymond Burton

There was a time when I was house hunting and realized that
as a self-employed business owner that one source of income
was not going to get me where I wanted. I needed to make
more than the average bear because my yearly salary showed
a small taxable income after all the business deductions.
Of course I could take another job in the traditional sense
but then I would have very little free time. Thus trying to
get extra money to attain freedom is shot right from the
beginning.

So how do you make money while not always having to work to
sustain that income? You work on the Internet and have your
extra source of income come from online. Is it a get rich
fast system? NO. What the Internet does offer is continuing
income from work that has been done once. This is a very
big secret to success in many fields. Do work once and have
the effort pay you for years.

I know many people doubt the validity of working online to
make extra money but this is because they do not approach
it as a job. Just as in real life, short cuts and a lack of
effort will never pay you back with financial rewards. The
trick is to keep rolling the snowball until momentum makes
it roll itself. Internet income is all about critical mass.

Just as with anything that is advertised in this world,
there are some things that do work and then there is the
other 99% that is Internet crap and hype. I've been through
most but not all of what is offered out there. What works
now for increasing your income through the Internet?
Adsense, Click Bank and Commission Junction.

I have tested program after program only to be disappointed
and robbed of my money. I have been at this for about 3
years straight now and using what I have that works for
about 1 year. I am still learning but can tell you with
confidence that Adsense, Click Bank and Commission Junction
have been the most rewarding ways for me to increase my
income. The most forgiving factors about these online
income sources is that while you are getting your empire up
and running they do not cost you a thing. So you never lose
out.

Once Adsense, Click Bank and Commission Junction are
running and you have them tweaked out from experimenting,
then they can boost your income by a couple of thousand a
month. Granted I am relatively new at this, but at least I
am confident in saying that these Internet income sources
work for me.

I think the biggest thing about Internet income or at least
the best idea to think on for making money is leverage.
There are millions of people out there. If you can figure
out how to invest .50 in order to make a dollar. All you
have to do is figure out how to do that automatically, and
then do it as much as you can.

Making Internet money with the google adsense program for
me has been my mainstay. I simply write about topics I like
and then put the google adesense ads on there and they run
silently in the background making me money day and night.
Some pages make more money than others, but finding what
makes the most money and then writing about something that
doesn't interest me sounds like a mild form of torture. I
write about whatever life experience I am learning about at
the time. Right now it's making extra money on the
Internet..

I learned about clickbank through wanting to write and
ebook myself. By finding out how to sell my own ebook
online to make extra money, I learned I could sell other
peoples ebooks that I liked and trusted to make money for
the both of us. Whenever I by a product that I like or has
helped me make some money online, then I will sell that
product in good conscience myself. Everybody wins.

Commission Junction is still a bit of a rouge for me. I
have made some money on the Internet but just can't get it
to perform at its full potential. This is probably because
I am a content writer and not a sales copy person. Just
when I think I got it nailed, it turns out to be a fluke. I
know the money is there waiting to be picked but haven't
quite found the optimum way to make money online with them
yet. One thing I can tell you is that you can't just put an
affiliate link up and hope for the best. There has to be
some real work in the background. Mostly in the form or
gaining a high traffic flow through content and then
shuttling that traffic to the pre-sell page.

These are the basic concept of making extra money online.
Give them all a try, but focus on one.

Auto Surf Programs

I have never been a big fan of auto surf programs, but it seems to be the
first thing that people get involved with once they try to make some money
online. Here is a very good review about auto surf programs which is a must
read if you have ever considered joining an auto surf program.

Enjoy!

Auto Surf Programs Reviewed
Copyright 2006 Timothy Rohrer

Many people are looking for new ways to make money online
and a very popular way to earn money online has recently
been auto surfing. Auto surfing allows you to make a small
investment in agreement that you will view ads from other
websites. The more ads you view, the more money you are
paid based on your initial investment.

To make any kind of decent money in auto surf programs is
really hit and miss. The two most recent popular auto surf
programs where Studio Traffic and 12 Daily Pro. Studio
traffic ran for a few years, while 12 Daily Pro survived
almost 1 year. Both programs paid high returns for surfing
webpage's and a lot of people did make large sums of money,
however when these systems crashed a lot of people also
lost money.

My take on auto surf programs is that they work, but we
never know when the administrator is going to take down the
program or run with the money. Usually auto surf programs
will offer a return on your initial investment that may
range anywhere from 10% of 10 days or 15% over 15 days.
It's nearly impossible for a company to keep up with these
high returns for such a long time and a lot of them rely on
new business.

There are a few new auto surf programs popping up such as
Alien Trust and Phoenix Surf, however I would be reluctant
to invest any type of money with these programs given the
past of Studio Traffic and 12 Daily Pro. At the same time,
I do believe they will pay out; it's just a matter of time
before the program actually crashes.

If you're looking to generate any substantial income
online, look to find solid programs that have existed for
years. There are tons of programs available online and
I'll be the first to admit that the majority of them do not
work. However over the past few years I have found a few
that do work and that I have been successful with.

Most people who are looking for an online business are
usually looking for fast money and that's why auto surf
programs do so well initially. Don't get caught up in all
the hype, when a new program comes out sit back for a while
on the sideline and asses the opportunity. There are
plenty of ways to generate a substantial income online,
just be sure to find a program that works for you and meets
your needs.

Adsense secrets

Here is a good article on how to make the most of your Adsense ads if you
already have a Google Adsense account.

Enjoy!

Adsense, The Great Secret
Copyright 2006 Karl Stadler

What is the great secret to huge earnings with Adsense? The
truth is, there is no great secret.

Let us look at adsense from the top.

Adsense pays you a percentage of money for each click that
you generate on your website. Which brings us to two very
important facts that few seem to realize when building
their adsense websites.

You need traffic to click on your adsense ads.

Your ads must be relevant to the search of the visitor.

Lets dissect them one at a time.

Traffic.

You can create adsense sites with software, buy pre-built
sites, use PLR and so on. This is a nice quick fix to solve
your problem of generating adsense income, or so many seem
to think.

Most of the time you will have wasted your time and money.
It would have been much better spent taking the dog for a
walk or doing the dishes.

For an adsense site to be successful it needs visitors,
many visitors. If you have just put up a new site it will
mean you have not been indexed neither do you have any page
ranking. Your 2000 page pre-built website at this moment in
time means nothing. Don't forget that a thousand or so
others have followed the same route as you, some before and
some after, quite a bit of duplicate content don't you
think?

Lets move on. The search engines have come by and your
pages are now indexed after two or three months.

Suddenly to your great surprise for the next month you have
a total of two clicks, or worse none whatsoever. Four
months down the line becomes six and still the results
remain the same.

Fortunately you do not need to feel alone, there are many
who have done exactly the same thing with the same results.
But from your perspective the internet sucks and there are
only a few who will make money and the multitudes of others
will buy their products.

Sorry to tell you the truth, you are wrong. If you went
about building your adsense empire with a plan, and not a
quick fix, things would be quite different. But we all
still love quick fixes and buy them, so there is no need to
feel bad.

Building your adsense site takes careful planning. You can
do it as a new site, subdirectory or implement it on your
current site.

The very first thing that you must do, and I cannot stress
this enough, is keyword research.

It is a long and arduous task and does take a lot of time
and thinking to get to the right keywords. It is the life
or death of your site. You can have the best optimized
pages around, but if you chose the wrong keywords you will
never be seen.

The wrong choices would be keywords that are never searched
for or the competition is so high that you will be
competing against many high ranking websites, and your
pages will just get lost in the maze.

Only when you have your keywords in place is it time to
develop your content. You should try to create as many of
these pages yourself. Now you are not able to write one
thousand pages all by yourself but if you write one page a
week, by the end of the year you will have 52 unique pages,
that is what the search engines are looking for. Your pages
need not be long 400 to 600 words are fine as long as the
content is relevant, but we will get to that now.

If you are just starting your site you can mix up your
pages with articles, PLR content and your own, but do
create your own unique content as often as you can.

Now lets look at relevance.

If a visitor lands on your page from a search engine result
he must find your content relevant to his search, otherwise
he will leave as quickly as he came. He will not be
clicking one of your adsense ads either to his next
destination.

Why not?

Your adsense ads on your page will be reflective of your
content, not his search, which means they will have no
meaning to him whatsoever. That is why it is so important
to have relevant content to your keywords, that is what
brings the visitor, keeps him on the site and gets him to
click an adsense ad when he leaves.

Placement of ads and the way they appear have been proven
to increase or decrease CTR. Unfortunately this information
is only obtainable through research over a period of time.
You have to use different formats and placements on
different pages and track each ad separately to establish
which work best.

But the internet is constantly changing, and what is
working now will not necessarily be working in six months
to a year, so unless you have been doing the research
yourself over a period of time and finding the right
information at the right time, you will have to pay to get
your adsense working effectively and profitably.

This is the great secret to successful adsense pages, it is
nothing more than research information as to what is
working best at this time. The information is gathered
through persistent testing, tracking, more testing and
tracking until the right combinations are found and then
doing it all over again. The secret is finding and using
the information first.

A beginner's Guide To Making Money Online

A beginner's Guide To Making Money Online
Copyright 2006 Anwar Ahmed Ally

Okay, you're reading this because you want to make money
online. You are fairly new to this, so you want some
assistance. Well, you're reading the right article. I will
attempt to show you the basics on how to start an online
money-making venture as quickly as possible.

The internet, through its sheer size, can be a bit
overwhelming for a newcomer especially if there's so many
different types of lucrative opportunities out there.
Follow these simple steps to get started.

STEP 1: Understand how money is made on the internet

In its simplest form, money can be made on the internet in
roughly three ways:

By setting up your own web site

A web site can be an ideal way to make money online.
However, it should be pointed out that you have to be
prepared to put in a lot of hard work and have a great deal
of patience. Your web site can make money by you offering a
product or service on it or by earning advertising revenue
or both. You can sell just about anything on a web site but
it is recommended that you start with items that are
instantly downloadable like software or ebooks. This spares
you the agony and extra work of having to specially ship
physical items around the world.

You will start by choosing a domain name, registering it
and hosting your site. You need to design a site to suit
your needs and what you have to sell. You can use the
services of a web designer to do this for you or if you are
the creative sort with reasonable computer knowledge and
some good common sense, you could do this yourself -it's
not that difficult!

You will also need the ability to accept credit card
payments from your customers. This has become reasonably
easy to do these days by simply making use of a third party
processor. Search for these on the search engines. You then
need to market your web site either by way of paid ads or
by using good Seo (search engine optimization) techniques
to get your site ranked well in the search engines.

An alternate method of making money with a web site is by
offering free, useful and quality content that appeals to
users. Once you have built up a decent amount of regular
visitors, you host Google Adsense ads. Google will pay you
a commission on all their ads that are clicked on your
site. You can also offer paid advertising to other web
sites on your own by way of text or banner ads.

By doing some sort of online work for a company

There are numerous genuine companies out there that offer
part time work to ordinary individuals. You can find
research work, taking of surveys, data capturing, typing,
etc. You can source these companies by searching for them
on the search engines.

By participating in affiliate programs

Affiliate programs are popular with work-at-homers. An
affiliate program is simply an advertising/marketing
program run by company/web site in which they get members
to refer visitors to their site. Members are paid per
visitor or per sign-up or a combination of both. Most
affiliate programs are free to join and the company will
provide you with marketing/advertising aids in the form of
text ads, sales copy, banners, etc to use. It is quite
alright for you to participate in more that one affiliate
program at the same time - this greatly increases your
chance of success. Incidentally, affiliate activities
create a great deal of internet traffic. To further
increase your chance of success with affiliate programs,
only join established companies that offer well respected
and popular products or services.

STEP 2: Decide what you feel comfortable with

Now that you have a brief idea on the most popular
money-making methods, you need to decide which one appeals
to you. Once you have, feel free to do more research in
that area and try to get as much information as possible.
Play around with a few ideas until you are sure what you
want to do.

STEP 3: Finding the right opportunity

Once you've decided on what you'd like to do, you now need
to find the right opportunity. If you've decided to start
your own web site, you need to determine what it's going to
be about. It's best to base it upon something you have a
fair knowledge of or are passionate about. If you've
decided to take the affiliate route or to do online work
for a company, make sure you are dealing with a reputable
company that pays promptly. Use the search engines to find
possible companies, then email these companies with any
questions you have. Ask for references (people who are
doing work for this company) and contact these people about
their experiences.

Following these simple steps should put you on the right
track very quickly. All the best!
